| Facilities and Resources | The Student ID Card (“carné”) that will establish you as a student of the UIS. Right to a “combo saludable” (a low cost lunch) or access to the student food service under the same pricing and conditions as for all the UIS undergraduate students. Free entrance to cultural events organized by the Cultural Department of the University. If you are a student from a country whose main language is not Spanish, you can take a Spanish course for free. “Partners UIS”: We have a program to assist external students: support from UIS students with academic mobility experience, and additional support from the University, which will help you to orient yourself to UIS and solve any issue that may arise. | |

| Additional Program Information | The monthly cost for accommodation, food and transportation in Bucaramanga for a student ranges between USD $450 and USD $650, approximately for students. The UIS offers visiting students the possibility of accessing the three (3) daily rations of food in the student canteen of the University Welfare Division, under the same low-cost conditions that are offered to UIS students. The service is available on business days from Monday to Friday, during the course of the academic semester in which the mobility is carried out, at the central campus. On weekends and holidays the University does not offer this service, which is why students must have resources to cover their meals. In the same way, given the impossibility of the University to cover accommodation costs for foreign students, names of hotels or possible places of residence are suggested before their trip to Colombia so that they advance the corresponding reservation. | |
