Program A is an exchange program through which UMAP participating institutions send and receive up to two students with tuition waivers each semester.

Program B is a negotiated bilateral exchange between two institutions that have agreed to exchange more than two students per semester.

Programs A and B follow a timeline that has two application cycles. Programs that are open for application only during the early or First application cycle are marked with .

Programs that are open for application only during the late or Second application cycle are marked with .

Programs that are open for application during both early/late or First and Second application cycles are marked with .

Program C consists of short-term programs of one to eight-weeks, for which tuition may be charged.

Virtual Programs are offered entirely online and may include both short-term and semester-long programs.

U-LEAD 2024

The Global Leadership Program (U-LEAD) focuses on developing the youth of today through a series of modules focusing on the concept of global leadership, important issues of leadership, and multiculturalism in the era of globalization. There will also be an emphasis on personal growth and development where participants will be exposed to the strategies and branding of their personalities and leadership qualities. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the success stories of icons and great leaders of the past as several iconic and successful leaders in their respective fields will be highlighted in this program through sharing sessions. This program will prepare the new leaders to undertake the new challenges in this era of globalization. Overall, participants will engage in a comprehensive program comprising lectures, interactive workshops, enriching field trips, and cross-cultural collaborative learning experiences.

The course on Indigenous Communities introduces and provides selected topics based on the continuity and change of culture of indigenous communities in Malaysia. Participants learn about the unique culture, the minority struggles, the process of cultural transformation, and the future of indigenous communities in Malaysia.

Culture, Language and Immersion Programme (CLIP)

Language and Cultural Immersion is an educational and experiential program that is designed to enhance English language proficiency among intermediate-level speakers through a fun English learning experience. Participants engage in an enjoyable learning experience while gaining proficiency in basic Bahasa Melayu. Additionally, participants will also explore the beauty of diverse Malaysia's scenic and culture. This program allows participants to strengthen the four core English skills such as reading, writing, speaking, and listening through interactive learning activities that imitate daily and professional life. Participants will also be introduced to basic Bahasa Melayu and discover the enriching Malaysian cultural experience through the cultural and educational adventure of knowing Malaysia.
