Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) is a private, non-sectarian, coeducational institution of higher learning founded in 1952 by Dr. José P. Laurel, the third President of the Republic of the Philippines. Located in Intramuros, Manila, LPU has been granted Autonomous Status by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), a distinction awarded to institutions that demonstrate excellence in academic quality, governance, and institutional performance.
