About Us The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) began in 1908 as a vocational course at the Wright Institute in San Isidro, Nueva Ecija. It became the Nueva Ecija Trade School (NETS) in 1929 and later moved to Cabanatuan City in 1931. Interrupted by World War II, it reopened in 1945 and expanded its programs. In 1953, it became the Central Luzon School of Arts and Trades (CLSAT), then the Central Luzon Polytechnic College (CLPC) in 1964. CLPC was converted into NEUST in 1998 under Republic Act No. 8612. The university has since focused on producing skilled professionals. Leadership transitions include Dr. Gemiliano C. Calling (first president), Dr. Hilario C. Ortiz (second), Dr. Feliciana P. Jacoba (third and first female president), and Dr. Rhodora R. Jugo (fourth, appointed in 2024), who aims to globalize NEUST.
