| About Us |
*Universidad Industrial de Santander is a top-ranked University in Colombia. It was founded in 1948 to fill the need for engineers in Santander. It is an accredited public university with its main campus in Bucaramanga and four more campuses throughout the region of Santander. We have about 23,000 students: 19,000 of which are undergrads and the rest are graduate students. The university is made up of six schools, 36 departments, and 44 majors. We also have 40 postgrad specialization programs, 50 masters, and 10 Ph.D. programs. We have a teaching staff of around 2300 and around 3000 other staff members. UIS owns and operates the Guatiguará Technological Park, which has 14 research centers and specialized laboratories. UIS also has around 100 research groups and publishes 19 scientific journals. We have produced 22 national and international patents and have applications in process for around 70 more. We are ABET certified since the end of 2020. |
