Program Description Osaka Metropolitan University, OMU, has been implementing a Program to Develop Collaborative Social Innovators that uses Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) since 2018. This program is to cultivate social innovators. Social innovation refers to solving social problems through new products, services, and systems. By collaborating with students from other countries, the program will cultivate the ability to “discover issues” and the ability to “find solutions”. This program aims to yield people who are self-motivated, create problem-solvers that find the solutions to issues that involve, but are not limited to, the government, NPOs or corporations in the future.

Program A/B Information Additional Information The Certificate of Completion for Social Innovation Minor Course will be issued for those who successfully complete the program. In 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025 will be held. Students coming to Japan may have an opportunity to participate in Expo-related projects, including activities at the University's pavilion a the Osaka-Kansai Expo!
