| Program Description | The program offers Canadian scholars an interdisciplinary academic and research experience focused on addressing climate change challenges in Latin America. Participants will engage in coursework taught in English, hands-on research, and community projects, gaining a comprehensive understanding of climate adaptation and mitigation in one of the world’s most biodiverse countries. As part of the program, scholars will collaborate with two of EIA’s flagship research initiatives: the EnergEIA Research Group on Energy and Sustainability, which develops community-based renewable energy solutions for climate change mitigation, and the Poleka Kasué High-Mountain Ecosystem Monitoring Program, dedicated to studying tropical high-mountain ecosystems and promoting resilience in climate-vulnerable regions. | |
