Program Description This program serves as a platform for UMAP Canada Institutions within the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Project, titled "Addressing Climate Change in Asia and the Pacific: Leveraging UMAP for Action – Queen Elizabeth Scholarship 2026-2027." Through participation in this program, students will create a project aimed at developing climate resilience leaders within local communities in Thailand. Additionally, they will design a training program to empower local individuals in their efforts to combat climate change, utilizing inner development goals and design thinking approaches. Throughout the program, students will collaborate closely with Thai student partners and professors, benefiting from mentorship and hands-on experience. They will explore local communities to understand their real challenges, while also engaging at the provincial policy level. This program is ideal for students interested in learning about Thai local communities and their responses to climate change. Participants will gain valuable experience in evaluation and project development, while connecting deeply with Thai culture and community life.
