Program Description Universidad Autonoma de Occidente welcomes UMAP students to Cali, Colombia, for a one-semester academic exchange during Spring 2027. Students can take courses in a wide range of academic areas, including Engineering, Business, Law, Communication, Architecture and Design, Humanities and Arts, Psychology, Computing, Environmental Studies and other disciplines, subject to course availability, prerequisites and academic approval. Exchange students become part of UAO's vibrant university community and have access to academic resources, laboratories, library services, student wellbeing, sports, cultural activities and international student support. Applicants must be active students at their home institution, have completed at least three semesters, hold a cumulative GPA of 3.5 out of 5.0 or equivalent, receive official nomination from their home institution and obtain prior approval for the courses they intend to transfer or recognize. Program A students receive a full tuition waiver. Students are responsible for their personal expenses, accommodation, transportation, international health insurance, immigration requirements when applicable, and the Procultura Stamp Tax. Additional Program Information Estimated Procultura Stamp Tax for four 3-credit courses. Actual cost depends on the number of credits enrolled. Immigration requirements and visa costs vary according to the student's nationality and length of stay. Courses are subject to academic scheduling, prerequisites, seat availability and approval by the corresponding academic program. Most courses are taught in Spanish. Applicants are expected to have sufficient Spanish proficiency to participate successfully in university-level coursework. International students must comply with Colombian immigration requirements and, once accepted, provide international health insurance valid throughout their stay in Colombia.

Program A/B Information Additional Information UMAP applicants must follow the Winter/Spring 2027 USCO application timeline and deadlines. Universidad Autonoma de Occidente's general Incoming Academic Mobility Call for Spring 2027 remains open until December 4, 2026 for applicants using other mobility agreements and programs. Program A participants receive a full tuition waiver. Students remain responsible for accommodation, meals, local transportation, international health insurance, immigration expenses when applicable, personal expenses and the Procultura Stamp Tax.
