Other Language Requirements 1. Japan-Okinawa Studies Course: Daily conversation level of Japanese or English 2. Glocal Leadership Course: Daily conversation level of English (CEFR A2) 3. Japanese Language Teacher Training Course: JLPT N2 equivalent or above 4.Major Studies Course: JLPT N2 equivalent or above is required basically. However, if the applicant can find an academic adviser who can give the guidance in a foreign language they wish to use, they can conduct their research in the foreign language (English, Thai, etc.). Scholarship Information Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) Scholarship Monthly Stipend: 80,000 yen Duration: 11 months at most University of the Ryukyus QUEST Scholarship Monthly Stipend: 80,000 yen Duration: 11 months at most University of the Ryukyus Foundation Scholarship To be announced Selection of recipients is based on a process of evaluation stipulated by each organization, and the University of the Ryukyus reserves the right to make final selection decisions. *If student’s GPA is less than 2.30 on a three point scale (maximum GPA: 3.00), they are no longer eligible for scholarships.
